April Showers...

April showers and colder weather have made for some boring blogging in the Murphy house this month. We are working on preparations for the big 2nd birthday party but beyond that, not a whole lot has been going on. Grandpa Huddas is almost fully recovered from his surgery. He still says he’s sore sometimes but is keeping up with the trio on a daily basis now. No more days off for Pat and I… boo! Our goal of the next few weeks is to work on the list of repairs/updates that has been growing at the house since we moved in. We’ve got to get out septic tank drained because God knows when it was done the last time, fix some mortar on the chimney and corner of the garage, work on the duct work for our dryer, fix some loose and rotting boards on the deck, and level our air conditioner with the hope that it will actually work when we turn it on the first time. One of the joys of buying a new home in the dead of winter I guess. By the way, that’s the short list! The long one would make up for my lack of blogging this month for sure! We’re going to try to do their 2 year pictures later this week or next so hopefully I’ll have a bunch of photos to post soon. For now, here's one of us building castles in the playroom.

Happy Easter 2010!

Happy Easter a few days late! We all had a great holiday visiting family. Poor Katie was super itchy though! She had a major allergic reaction and ended up going to the doctor on Saturday. Something always seems to happen around the holidays that makes us take a visit to see the pediatrician. The Easter bunny was able to find us at the new house, thank goodness!! Now that the holiday is over the girls have a cold, Seamus I'm sure probably will by tomorrow and Helena is getting in a tooth. She's been super crabby. You know it's bad when last night as we're getting them ready for bed Katie starts saying "stop baby Na-nee." Na-nee is what Seamus and Katie call Helena and she was screaming and crying because she didn't want to wear jammies with feet or at least not the ones I had out for her. Helena's favorite 3 words right now are no, Elmo, and stuck. If you ask her any question at all the answer is no and anything she doesn't want like pj's with feet means that she is stuck. Why do I think we may be in for some serious trouble with that one? I think I've mentioned our whole Elmo obsession before but Elmo could really be all of their favorite words right now. Good thing the Easter Bunny brought all of us a new Elmo's World dvd. We needed a little variety!

Love our new bunny ears!

WEEEEEE!

It's been a busy week! Grandpa Huddas's surgery went well, he's just got to heal now. Pat's parents came up to see the house for the first time that same day. We ordered and got in our early birthday present for the trio. We figured why wait when they could be enjoying it in the great weather we're having. We put it together with their expert help so it took a while but they LOVE it! They've been playing outside for 2 days straight now. We even took our first trip of the year to the zoo this morning with about half the population of the tri-county area! Busy doesn't even begin to cover how many people were there. Started some spring clean-up in the yard and discovered Katie is going to be our little nature girl. She loves playing in the leaves and dirt. The other thing we discovered is she's still sensitive to sun screen. Great... Enjoy the photos weeeeeeee!
