Boyne to be Wild!

Last weekend we went on our annual skiing trip to Boyne with Grandpa and Grandma Huddas and the rest of the Huddas/Hycki Aunts and Uncles. This year instead of all of us squeezing into a motel room, the whole group got a Condo, which was awesome. We were also able to do more stuff this year. The kids went sledding for the first time, Katie was not fond of it though. For her to stop crying Mary had to ride on the sled too, I got to do the pulling (at least we were going downhill). We also went to a water park for the first time in the indoor water park there. Katie again wasn't too fond of it, Seamus loved it by the end of our first stop and Helena had an absolute blast the entire time. Helena went down the giant slide 4 times, twice with Mary, once with me and once with Uncle Steve. We all had a great time, it was nice to be able to do more with them this year on the trip, and it was fun to see them ride a sled and a water slide for the first time. On Sunday we got back in town early enough to go to their Cousin Conner's birthday Party. When we got home is when things got a little messy. Seamus barfed about ten times throughout the night, and by the time I got home from work on Tuesday the girls had caught it too. Poor Grandpa was literally caught in the cross-fire. Now everyone is feeling better and there is time to finally make another post. On a positive note the appraisal on the house we made an offer on went through, so it looks as though we pretty much got the house we want. That was a good end to a long week, the pictures are from the ski trip.

The Year Ahead

Well, we're a couple of weeks into the New Year, and the girls in the house are off of their antibiotics, and everyone is feeling a little bit better. The kids had their "final check-up" on their heads by the Cranio-facial specialist that prescribed their helmets. Katie and Helena are officially all done, but Seamus has to go back one more time in 6 Months just to be cautious and make sure everything still looks OK and get one more X-ray to check everything out. Its already seems like so long ago that they were in their helmets! There Will be some more changes this New Year for our family, we have signed a purchase agreement on a house in the Romeo area that is over twice the size as our current house. The kids all look at a brochure of the house and say "house" over and over. I think that's a good sign that this will be the right house for all of us. The pictures are of the kiddies with some of their Christmas presents. The first one is of Helena riding on Tigger (Thanks Aunt Swell). The next two are them wearing a present from Uncle Ed, and then one from Aunt Becca and Uncle John. Just as long as the don't end up Ohio State fans we may be alright...

Happy New Year?

Well I don't know if I like how 2010 is starting off. Here's a run down of what the New Year has brought us so far.

The countdown...

5 coughing members of our household... yep every single one of us is at least a little on the sick side

4 doctors appointments... 3 kids and 1 mommy

3 ear infections... Katie's got a double wammy and Helena has a single

2 cases of pink eye... Helena and Mommy

1 semi-healthy child... Seamus only has a runny nose and cough, hence the "semi"

0 times we've had to give the trio antibiotics until now

Overall, I'd still rate spending time with my family even with being sick as "priceless!"

Hope 2010 treats you well! Happy New Year!!
