Katie and Helena First Haircuts!

Katie and Helena got their first haircuts today. Just a little trim of the bangs so that they won't get into their eyes anymore. They were very good girls and sat all by themselves in the chair while letting me cut their hair and Daddy take pictures.

Christmas 2009

Christmas celebrations have made for a busy few days around here. Here's our last couple days in pictures.

Opening up gifts with Aunt Kathy and Uncle Chris Dressig. They came over to see us on Christmas Eve's eve.

On Christmas Eve morning... before going to Aunt Marianne and Uncle Nick's to celebrate with the Wasilco side of the family. Thanks again Aunt Mel and Uncle John for our jammies!

Waking up on Christmas morning to see what Santa brought us.

Mommy opening my gift from the kids. A personalized golf towel!

Daddy opening his gift from the kids. A Redwing Mr. Potatohead!

Helena all dressed up in her Christmas outfit. What a ham!

Katie in her Christmas outfit. She's decided to only be serious in pictures!

Seamus in his Christmas vest and tie. He's so handsome with his new big boy haircut!

Where's the snow? Our brand new sled from Uncle Mike and Aunt Kim. It's big enough for all of us!

Maybe if we rock really fast in Grandma and Grandpa Murphy's chair we can keep ourselves awake.

This last picture was taken before we went home to go to bed. It had been a very long day with only one little nap to help us make it through after being up REALLY late the night before. We even had to wake the trio up on Christmas morning so we would make it to church on time. We went back to Grandma and Grandpa Murphy's today to see them and Aunt Kathy one more time before she left to go back home to NC. Then we went to the Huddas house to see Aunt Margo and Uncle Ken who were visiting Grandma and Grandpa and had some dinner. Now we're all home, the kids are in bed, and I'm trying to stay awake to finish typing this. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and that Santa was good to you too! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Good Night!

St. Nick and Slippers

Katie striking her morning pose!

It's the Sunday before Christmas and I'm attempting to not be annoyed by the fact that I have to work this week. We've finished our shopping and started our wrapping but are no where near ready for Christmas yet. Today was our church Christmas party and the kids got to see St. Nick. We weren't sure we were going to make it there with the morning I was having. It was one of those days where everything you do, just doesn't go right. Just to give you an example of how my morning was going, I was vacuuming the babies room and somehow managed to suck up the cord of the baby monitor. Not only did I do that, but we have such a powerful vacuum that it actually tore the cord right out of the monitor so now we have a broken cord. Great! Maybe I should be fired from vacuuming! Hint, hint Pat...

This week we also got the babies some slippers. We've been looking for some for a while and finally found some. They're VERY cute. The only problem is when they have to take them off. Lot's of tears and yelling usually ensues.

I hear noises from the other room so nap time is over... Christmas pictures on their way soon!

Potty Time!

We have big news! Poop and Pee! Yes that's right folks, this is a post about bodily functions. As in Seamus did both on the potty yesterday and Katie and Helena both peed. Now we are well aware that it may be months until this happens again but we are so excited about even the prospect of all of this that we had to share! We definitely need to work on this whole getting a bigger house thing so we can get our three pottys lined up and work some things out... literally!

Do You See the Resemblance?

Some of you may have already seen this but I just had to post it! See any resemblance? It's Helena aka Cindy-Lou Who!

Oh Christmas tree oh Christmas tree.

A lot has been going on this last week for us. The walls of our house have been seeming to shrink around us as the babies have grown into the toddlers they are today, so we put our house up for sale the Friday after Thanksgiving. We have looked around this last week at houses. When we got home on Friday after looking at houses, we began to get ready to go get our Christmas tree Saturday with the grandparents, Aunt Becca, Uncle John, Clay and Drew. We got the surprising phone call that they wanted to show our house on Saturday. This made us freak out. So on top of prepping for a whole day outing, we also had to clean up and pack up the random Pack 'n Plays we use for nap time. Saturday was a long day of driving to Applegate to a drive around tree farm, then hanging out with the cousins and playing at Aunt Becca's house. It was a long day but we had fun buying our giant tree to later set up in our kitchen. Yes, we set up our tree in the kitchen. Saturday night we had to remember to set out the kids' shoes for Saint Nicholas Day on Sunday. On Sunday we went to church for the mass and stayed for the Saint Nicholas Day Luncheon. Mary had a Band Concert so I had to enlist help from Aunt Christi, Aunt Becca, and Grandpa and Grandma. We all had fun and the triplets are now old enough to run around and play with all the other kids, a world of difference from Christmas last year. Mary and I set up the Christmas tree on Sunday, then we finished today. When you see the size of our tree you'll understand why it took two days to decorate.
